We had such a lovely Sunday afternoon. After church we were finally able to decide on a fun activity for the day. We went on the nice country drive to Surry where we picked up the ferry over to Jamestown. Onward bound we went to the Williamsburg Winery. There is nothing better then sitting out on the terrace under the canopy of wisteria with a bottle of wine and their delicious cheese and fruit plate. It is so lovely there, and their staff is always so friendly...they even brought Mr. Sampson Pants a bowl of water to keep him cool. After a delightful visit there, we took advantage of our trip to Williamsburg and picked up some food at Trader Joes. We are completely obsessed with that store, and hope that we never have to move somewhere that doesn't have one within atleast 50 mile radius. We decided to take the ferry back home as well, in hopes to grab some icecream at Smithfield's historic icecream parlor, but of course we missed their closing time (again) by a few minutes. We really like the cuteness of Smithfield, but it sure is a sleepy little town. I am grateful for such fun outings with my little family of three. We always have so much fun together.
