First thing you need to know: I loathe shopping for clothing. It makes me anxious--very very anxious. I get frustrated, flustered, and very frugal. Well I reached the breaking point where I knew it was time to face the fierce shopping world. You see, most of my shirts either don't fit anymore (I mean really who doesn't gain a little weight after getting married?), have holes in them (is it so wrong to still be wearing clothes from middle school?), or are just plain out ugly and not so flattering. Completely self aware of my own shopping fear I said a little prayer, picked up two trusty friends, and headed to the unknown world of consumerism. I believe prayer works, I really do, and God was faithful in providing an enjoyable shopping experience. I am happy to say that I was beyond stoked after my excursion. Thank goodness for friends to make color decisions for me, or I probably would of come out empty handed and completely defeated. Practically everything I tried on fit, looked mighty fine, were priced amazingly, and felt good. This is pretty much a first in my shopping history, and I am so grateful. While shopping seems like a rather petty hobby and often obsession of others, I believe that God cared even for something as silly as my shopping anxiety. The final rundown: 6 nice shirts, 2 dresses, and a pair of shorts all purchased for approximately $110.
