I really appreciate those days that are simply enjoyable all around. This past Saturday was one those days for me. Brian and I had planned to spend the afternoon in Williamsburg. He had flattered me by purchasing me a size small Nike running shirt for Christmas; how sweet of him to think I am miniature sized. Needless to say, it needed to be exchanged (for one of those larger then small sizes) at the outlet. I can't say I was super stoked about "shopping" as any malls and stores tend to bring a bit of anxiety to me. I guess I am not the typical girl that can shop til she drops. I get overwhelmed easily by choices and price tags and lots of people. However, this day went so smoothly and was able to exchange my shirt in a jiffy.
While at the outlet malls we decided to check out Columbia since Brian has been on the quest for a nice but budget friendly new coat for quite the while. We hit up the store on the perfect day as many sweet coats were on clearance. He spotted out the coat that he just had to have, and fortunately they had his size in the back. He walked out looking all jazzy in his new $150 coat that was paid for with a mere 47 buckaroonies. I just love finding good deals, especially on something that will be used for a long time to come.
With all that intense shopping we were growing oh so hungry and faint. I have been wanting to find this BBQ restaurant that I have heard many great things about, Pierce's Pitt BBQ. I gotta say that really is some dang good BBQ, probably the best I have ever had. We loved the whole atmosphere there, definitely a new favorite.
Of course a trip over the bridge and through the tunnel isn't complete without a trip to Trader Joe's to load up on our favorites like their garlic herb marinara and amazing sweet potato fries.
Then last but not least we visited The Cheese Shop, where we purchased some new specialty beers and some delicious cheeses.
Nothing too overly exciting nor adventerous, but just simply fun. I like it.
