Happy six weeks to Hannah bug! Unfortunately this week has brought cold number two for Hannah. I have determined two things:
1) We are selfish bad parents that take our newborn out too much
2) We should avoid having a winter baby ever again
Don't worry though, we'll keep this one.
Remember that time when I wanted a boy and may of been slightly bummed that we were having a girl? I try not to remind myself of that because I still feel guilty of those feeling I had. However, I am so grateful for this little girl and cannot picture having any other baby. Seriously, she is the BEST. And look, pink bows are growing on me!
Brian had the pleasure this week of getting some one on one alone Daddy daughter time. I ventured out of the house for a few hours for book club (AKA get out of the house, leave children with husbands, and have adult conversations where books may or may not be discussed club). I received several entertaining texts involving things like poop blow outs, inconsolable wailing, bottle refusal, and then the final one about how I am fully respected as a mother. Never fear though, by the time I got home baby and Daddy were peacefully cuddling and all was well in the world. Mission Accomplished!
I have loved staying home with this little girl of ours. She continues to bring so much joy. Making her smile is pretty much the coolest thing ever. I may be slightly obsessed with this kid. I remember pre kid days I thought that I would never be one of those moms that blogged all about her kid. Hah! What? Did I think I was suddenly going to take up new found interest in politics or something? I don't mind one bit that my world seems to revolve around this super cutie.
