I have been married for 2 weeks now, and I got to tell you living with someone else is a fun, exciting, learning experience. Everyone says before you get married you should discuss habits that are strangely important to you, like which way you like the toilet paper to be put on the roll and whether you or not you push from the top or bottom of the toothpaste tube. Well there are just some things you just never think to discuss before you get married that are just little pet peeves or habits that must take place in YOUR household.
Exhibit 1: I made supper last night that was mighty delicious and Brian did agree...except on one thing-- I did not toss the salad before serving it. Here we are eating dinner and he makes this remark about how it is one of his pet peeves. I took it with some grace I suppose, but came back with him later that night that my pet peeve is actually drying his hands or body with the towel and hand towel placed on the main bathroom towel rack. I like to have the towels to permanently stay in tact neatly folded for decorative purposes. You are suppose to make use of the towel on the hook on the door rather than the one on the towel rack. So the story doesn't end there. Tonight I made another yummy dinner, in which Brian was very complementary. We finish up and I am putting some dishes in the washer and Brian tells me that he doesn't like his salad tossed when it is just lettuce and plain dressing. He meant the previous night that he wants his salad tossed when a salad kit is being used, like the ceaser salad kit used the night before. Well tonight we just had plain lettuce and ranch dressing, in which I did indeed tossed. I almost fell on the floor in laughter when he told me this. I actually said I was so grateful that I didn't have to toss the salad each night, cause that required us to use the same dressing every night.
Oh marriage, its a funny thing. We are all so stubborn and stuck in our ways. From how we put the dishes in the washer to how we fold our clothes, its such an interesting thing. I love my husband and I love our life that we have together. I love putting together our house and learning new things about each other day. You just don't learn all these odd attributes about each other until you live together. How amazing it is though to have such companionship. Even as I write this blog my husband is looking over at me so lovingly. I am grateful to have someone to share my life with, to learn from and to love.

Your "husband" - what fun and crazy words to hear you say - or see you type - or whatever!! Maybe Brian should become the official sald maker at your house. Kevin makes the tuna fish and the salsa at our house - I deal with raw beef. haha
