I say that word a lot.
But it is so true, I am blessed.
Blessed to have my husband home. Blessed to have such a loving caring spouse. Blessed that he encourages me. Blessed that he is so thoughtful to surprise me like this......
Last Friday I was greeted at the door with a kiss, and was immediately lead upstairs where a bubble bath with rose pedals and a glass of bubbly champagne was waiting for me. I was instructed to just relax, and when I was ready there was a dress hanging up for me to put on for dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed my quiet me time. After I was refreshed, I got dolled up and headed downstairs where my chef husband was preparing a wonderful dinner. He lead me outside to the most gorgeous and thought out set table, including a personalized menu. The four course dinner included: Steamed Oysters, Garden Salad, Herb Pasta and Pan Seared Scallops, and Carrot Cake, along with two choices of wine.
My date for the night doubled as the cook and waiter, not to mention my dashing husband. Course by course, we chatted and caught up on the last few months apart. We took our sweet time as the sun set. Brian had set up a fire pit with sleeping bags and giant beanbag. We cuddled up and fell asleep under the stars. A perfect night.........so blessed!!
