We are moving into an upper flat in the Village of Shorewood. The sound of that is so cute that it makes me want to squeal. Shorewood is a mere 1.5 square mile neighborhood located just north of Milwaukee, nestled by Lake Michigan. Our house in fact will be two blocks from the beach. This historic village consists of 6,439 homes, all unique in their carefully crafted architecture; styles including Colonial, Tudor, Late-Georgian, Bungalow, Prairie and more. It is known as a "walking village." They have even formed a walking school bus for the local neighborhood kids. There are dozens of eclectic businesses, shops, and restaurants; my favorite so far being the rooftop tea garden. We are excited to participate in their many block parties, cookouts, celebrations, bike races, and festivals. Brian may even join their men's club. I am also stoked that the neighborhood is biker friendly, including a bike trail following the river that leads to downtown Milwaukee. We are looking forward to being a part of this vibrant neighborhood and are getting very excited for our big move to the Midwest.

It looks cute! I would be excited to move there as well. As sad as it is that you are leaving Virginia - I'm glad you are going to such a neat place
