Find Your Dinner Table

We are dinner table kind of folks. Even though we don't have kids yet I like instilling in our family the tradition of sitting down together, praying together, eating a meal, talking about our day, and simply enjoying each others company. I think it is important in this hustle and bustle world we find ourselves in. I think it is something that has helped in our marriage. Lets face it, sometimes it is easy to forget to actually talk to each other.

We do however have a few exceptions to this dinner table rule:

1) If its well after 8 or 9 and we still haven't managed to eat, couch it is. Typically these dinners consist of something in a bowl like a southwest quinoa blend of goodness.
2) If dinner involves those occasional select couch eating-movie watching-lazy bum foods we all know and love like takeout pizza or Chinese. They are totally not made for eating at the table.
3) A very important football game is on like the HOKIES! Normally involves said pizza.
4) You are bleeding to death-no dinner for you!
