Baby, say what??

The word is out, we are going to be having a wee little one. Brian and I are very excited and full of joy...and of course are nervous too. I mean, babies...I hear they cry and stuff. Seriously though we feel so blessed to have this opportunity in life.

My due date is January 18th, right around when my sisters were born. I am slowly starting to feel a bit better, the fun morning all day sickness is starting to disappear a bit and is more manageable. I have been eating like a little rabbit; as long as I have a little bit of simple food in my belly I feel relatively okay. I have been finding myself rather sleepy and naps are becoming a must. The little "critter" is sucking out the little thyroid I have left (I had radioactive iodine treatment years ago and am now hypothyroid), so we are having to watch that and adjust my medicine.

I am looking forward to getting an ultrasound in 2 weeks. My midwife doesn't do them until 12 weeks. I pray that the little one is healthy and growing strong. I pray everyday for his or her health and future, that he or she may grow up to be loving and kind and for us to be good parents. We are excited for our growing family. Brian has already been so helpful, making sure I am drinking water and packing snacks when we go out. I am stoked that I get to see him as a father; I know he is going to be the BEST. It just makes my heart so happy!

We are so thankful for all the love and support that we have gotten already. I am glad we have gotten the word out. It just adds to our excitement and makes it seem more real. We are surrounded by such good friends and family.
