A New Blog...Horray!

Brian pointed out that it has been too long since I have written a blog post. So here you go Brian, a new post. I actually want to write about our anniversary soon but I gotta get some pictures off of Brian's phone for that one. I could write about my long adventurous east coast trip or Brian's parents coming to visit, but that seems like too much writing for today. So with that, I want to write a bit about exciting new things happening in our church and post a video.

Our sweet little church here in Milwaukee has been working on launching an additional site in the area. They bought this beautiful but run down historic theater in West Allis. Our church has been remodeling and restoring this large theater for awhile now, and finally this past Sunday we were able to attend the opening service.

I am just going to lay it out there and say that I was totally a "Doubting Thomas." I thought the concept was cool, the theater was gorgeous, but I just didn't see how they could fill this huge theater anytime soon with significant amount people. Now don't get me wrong I don't believe it is all about numbers, but I sure thought the building size was a little ambitious. Man, God can do some powerful things. I gotta say that Sunday was probably the coolest experience of feeling the presence of God surrounding a church. I just felt it all over, even from the parking lot. The theater, now church, was absolutely packed. The neatest being that new people from the community were coming to check it out. I am so grateful to have been a part of such a special day at Epikos.

I thought it was really cool that our local Fox station even did a piece on the opening. Don't see news stations often interested in church openings.
