Coop da loop has been crazy on the teeth. Six teeth at six months. Technically he has seven teeth now, but alas this is a six month procrastinators post not a six and half month post. He must be in a hurry to eat some nice juicy steak. Apparently though, mashed up food is just too much of a confusing concept. He is now slowly getting a hang of very well pureed foods. But those teeth, they are ready for action when the time is right.
Cooper remains a faithfully okay sleeper. Not great but usually not terrible. He is typically up once in the middle of the night, picking a different time every night just to keep me on my toes. Sometimes 12:30, sometimes 2:00, maybe 4:14. Life is more fun with surprises, right? I often have the ambitious thought of letting him cry it out a bit and see if maybe just maybe he would fall back to sleep. Just to note, a mom's thoughts during the day should never be expected to be carried out in the middle of the night. My mom always tells me, if it is important enough for you to do something, you will do it. Obviously we are not there yet with sleeping through the night. A typical middle of the night waking looks something like this. After letting him cry for what feels like 20 minutes but is probably more like a minute and 25 seconds, I trudge my confused body in his room to where he kicks his feet and smiles. I say something along the lines of, "don't you dare smile at me." He proceeds to laugh. I stick a pacifier in his mouth. He turns green, muscles and veins pop out, he resembles the incredible hulk and then screams bloody. I reluctantly pick him up. He laughs as if to mock me. I feed him. Goodnight.
He might be just an okay sleeper but this kid is an A+ happy camper. He is one super content guy. Sure he can have his clingier days. He doesn't particularly love traveling and being off schedule but overall he just goes with the flow. Cooper has a special way of making you feel like the worlds funniest person. He is so easy to get to smile and laugh. Something about this boy, just pure sweetness.
Coop is a pretty funny little fella. He loves blowing bubbles, making the silliest of faces, sticking in his tongue out, copying our gestures, and laughing at just about anything. He currently thinks his hands are just about the coolest creation ever. Some mornings he is so quiet I think he is still asleep. I will sneak into his room only to find him with his hand up above his face, observing its every move.
This age and new state of awareness and crazy development is one of my favorites. His little personality is really coming out. He is so interactive and fun. This boy, he loves the bath and splashing and kicking. He still loves his sister's singing and crazy antics. He is following us and our voices and is starting to sit up on his own. Its just neat watching him grow and change. Not to mention, the hair on his head is growing back and that is super cute.
